This magazine caught my eye because of the bright red color used throughout the cover. I also grabbed it because Lauren Conrad is definitely one of my favorite celebrities. The issue is dated from March 2013. I would probably say that most people who read Lucky have a subscription, however, it is an easy pick up while in line at the grocery. “Think Spring!” caught my attention instantly. Putting that in bold across the front will definitely intrigue potential readers. It is a monthly magazine that costs $3.99.

I like this magazine cover because it was unique. It draws the eye in because fashion magazines tend to use straight-on photography as opposed to profile-styled shots as the cover. Elle is designed for a particular audience, so I think it’s more of a subscription magazine. Because Nicki Minaj is a well-known artist of modern pop culture, her name in bold draws the reader into seeing why she is being featured. Elle is a monthly magazine, and this one is dated for April 2013. It costs about $4.

I took a picture of this cover because it used more natural colors. It didn’t use lots of bright popping colors. This magazine is all about Alabama and has stories about local restaurants and locations throughout the state. This is a monthly news stand magazine. This particular magazine was published as the January/February 2013 issue. It cost $4.95.

I am a big fan of Kate Hudson.  She looks fabulous and is proving to her fans and everyone around that she still has it and looks great after having a baby.  I also think the colors are very appealing for the spring season and it pops next to the other covers on the newsstands.  I believe this magazine is newsstand base because it has many coverlines to grab a readers attention.  The coverline that I noticed the most was 600+ Shoes, Bags & Best Impulse Buys because it is bold and made to stand out the most.  Plus I am a shoe addict and always enjoy an impulse buy.  It is a monthly magazine that costs $3.99 and the date on it is April 2013.

I liked the Vanity Fair magazine the most because of the dark cover photo and the way the white title and cover lines. I also like the way the red pops against the white.

I think its sales base in newsstands because of the celebrity status on the front cover and the cover lines that give you a glimpse into whats inside the magazine.

The best cover line that got me to open the magazine was the line that said “TAYLOR SWIFT. The growing of a superstar. Her men…her moods…her music.” Taylor Swift is a huge celebrity so her status was enough to get me to open the magazine.

It is a monthly magazine and the date on the magazine was April 2013. It cost $4.99.

I liked this magazine the most because it stood out of all the others with its black background. It is a subscription magazine, and  the coverline that caught my attention the most was “Nashville’s New Sound” because it is much larger than the other coverlines. The magazine costs $5.95, and the date on the magazine is April/May 2013. The magazine is a bi-monthly magazine.

I like the contrast of the yellow against the grey. It has been my favorite color combo for years and it always grabs my attention

The sales appear to come mostly from newsstands judging by all of the coverlines.

“Our best beauty guide” was the coverline that interested me the most. Usually the line about the covergirl draws me in the most, but Nicki isn’t my cup of tea, and I love beauty secrets.

Elle is a monthly magazine.

This is the April 2013 issues and it coses $4.99

I chose this April 2013 edition of Cosmo because the appearance alone exemplifies my personality a bit. The cover is filled with bright pretty colors, all of which exude femininity. Additionally, the coverline, Sweet &Sexy Moves, caught my attention and seemed like a very interesting article. Cosmo is a monthly magazine. According to the Alliance for Audited Media, Cosmo is among the top 25 magazines in the U.S. I think its sales base is newsstand simply because of its risque coverlines/articles that make young women just want to pick it up as they’re checking out or browsing down the aisle. The magazine costs $4.99.

The magazine that I liked the most on the newsstand was this issue of Instyle Magazine. This one intrigued me the most with its bold color choice in the coverline “Color” in contrast with the white background and vibrant red dress. It seems that the this magazine is newsstand based on its bold color and font choices on the cover along with the various coverlines to try to get the concsumers attention. Other than the coverline noting it is the color issue, is the best at grabbing consumers attention. The various colors look like nothing else on the newsstand and catch the consumer’s eye immediately  The Magazine is issued monthly. It is the April 2013 issue and its cost was $4.99.

I chose this magazine from an array of sports magazines. It caught my eye because of the use of black and dominant red. Also, the clubs appear to be jumping out of the page and attempting to grab the attention of someone passing by. Lastly, the all capital letters of “GOLF” attract the eyes.
